Design

Klipsch R-51PM With A Black Finish Looks Stunning. Klipsch R-51PM contains a classic stylish look with a black color finish. A bookshelf like this can hold a beautiful place within any home decor. This kind of cool look can also go with the living room or with the bedroom wherever you want to place it.

At first, you look at the look and feel that this pair has a strong fashion sense all over.

It has a magnetic cover hiding the woofers and tweeter behind it. These covers have an American style in them. They are easy removal, so you can easily remove them or keep them like this if you want. There is the Klipsch traditional bronze logo in the center of the shields.

Also, these covers don’t affect the sound quality. You can have the full sound from the speakers. But this thing doesn’t go with many speakers. When you would remove the magnetic shields, you will find a beautiful woofer and tweeter. Those woofers contain a cooper color giving the speakers a new look after removing them.

These bookshelf speakers have two-channel in the box; the right channel and the left channel. The right channel preserves all the inputs and stays connected with the left channel through a wire. There is a LED indicator upper corner of the right channel to make a balance with the whole design.

Features

  • Powered monitor
  • Bluetooth wireless technology
  • Ultra-low noise amplifiers
  • Dynamic Bass EQ

Many high-quality speakers came without a sound controlling system such that the remote control seems not good at use. But Klipsch R-51PM has a remote that looks good as well works efficiently.

The size is not too big but in a balanced, compact size with an organized layout of buttons. Buttons are placed at such a logic that you will find all the required buttons easily.

This remote is made of plastic and carrying is so comfortable as it is light-weight. It lets you control all the required systems. And the LED light on the right channel lets you know which input you have selected. And this light you can disable if you feel any disturbance at any time.

Like any other remote control, this helps you control the switch on or off, increasing volume or mute, channel selection, and the LED light on/off.

Pairing with Bluetooth, this remote can adjust the volume, along with the playback, pause, etc., many things. Doing all the requisite this remote is so efficient at work makes the R-51PM better.

Design

Klipsch The Sixes A Versatile Looked Speaker. These speakers with the walnut color looks most attractive to me as this will look so beautiful in any living room for its versatile look. A celestial-looking speaker having a decent built quality can be loved by most people.

When you first unpack it, you will have a feeling of your grandfather’s time audio devices. This can be displayed as a showpiece in your room. A combination of walnut with black looks so great.

There are also detectable grills covering the front of the speaker. The grills are, in black but it looks pretty grayish for me. These magnetic shields can easily remove or can be attached as per your need.

The size is also a bit imposing if you look in detail. 17 inches tall x 8.6 wide x 11 deep is the speakers’ total size, but at the bottom, there is a small stand that is separating the speakers from the bottom. This is a good thing, so it can prevent some vibration that could possibly go to the floor.

Both the speakers have a shiny gold-colored band at the bottom with the Klipsch logo. These speakers stay connected with a cable. There is two toggle switch in the right channel on the band, and all the inputs are placed in the back of this.

Features

  • Powered monitors
  • 1” titanium-loaded tweeters with tractrix horns
  • 6.5” woofers with a ported enclosure
  • Bluetooth wireless technology
  • High Efficiency Amplification
  • 192kHz / 24-Bit Decoding To Support High Resolution Audio Tracks
  • Real wood veneer
  • Tactile spun copper switches and knobs

Controls

Klipsch The Sixes controlling system is different from the R-51PM. Because it not only has a remote control but there are controls buttons at the right channel.

The remote is like all the basic remotes doing every required control and stuff like that. The volume control, switch on/off, playback, pause everything.

And the buttons are well decorated so that the user can find them easily. There is no mess up in the button-organized system.

But the exciting thing is the knobs that the right speaker has on the front of the golden band. There two knobs; one works for controlling volume, and the other is for selecting the sources.

There is five input for source selectors; Aux, USB, Bluetooth, Phono, Digital. The overall controls are good in this model of Klipsch than others. Controls of Klipsch speakers are almost the same, most of the time.

Klipsch R-51PM VS The Sixes Main Distinctions

The Klipsch R-51PM VS The Sixes: Sound quality

Klipsch R-51PM VS The Sixes didn’t leave any area where we should not praise them. Both have an excellent and more comprehensive sound quality that is highly praised all the time.

So, when the time comes to find which one is best, it becomes the most arduous task. I wonder how to compare the best two products! But the good way is to define their sound quality, not to compare, so you can find what you are searching for.

  • Speciously talking about Klipsch R-51PM is a splendid bookshelf speaker with high-quality qualities. A delicate, smooth, more exhaustive, and dynamic sound produce that any music lover can fall.

When you would first connect it with your phone or with another device, it will leave you amazed with the incredible sounds. A room-filling sound fills every corner of the room.

  • And when it comes to Klipsch, The Sixes, which is considered the big brother of The Thress, is nothing surprising. Some kind of aesthetic, marvelous, dynamic, and transparent sound hear too much pleasing.

In the little price range, it features all the high tech. From the woofers to the input interface, everything is so fascinating that it is for sure you will get the most precise sound quality.

To discuss sound quality widely, I am here highlighting every possible feature responsible for the best sounds.

Frequency Response

The frequency response has a good impact on the sound quality. The suitable frequencies can help with the good sounding system.

  • Here the Klipsch R-51PM has a better range than The Sixes. The range is 68Hz – 21kHz makes the waves and frequencies tremendous so that we can have detailed sound and low distortion.
  • But for the Sixes, the range is 40 – 20000 Hz. With overall features and technologies, Klipsch could have been more spacious with the frequency response.

But it is not like that the range is that bad. The lower distortion with crisp, clear clarification the sound is heard.

Winner: Klipsch The Sixes

Woofers And Tweeters

Klipsch R-51PM VS The Sixes both have bigger woofer with a fabulous tweeter for giving the lowest distortion and detailed sound. These two speakers and almost all of the Klipsch speakers also came with the bigger impressive aluminum woofer.

When you remove the grill from the speaker, you will notice the beautiful colored woofer and tweeter. This goes for both speakers.

  • In Klipsch R-51PM, the lovely bronze color woofer and 90 ° × 90 ° Tractrix horn are attached with some screws. The woofer size is 5.25-inch in a cone shape made of copper IMG diaphragm. IMG kind of high quality means Injection Molded Graphite offers so light material for making equipment types.

This woofer works with a 1-inch aluminum Linear Travel Suspension tweeter. This LTS gives the whole audio system more efficient work and provides an incredible frequency with great details.

The Tractrix horn and the aluminum woofer let the sound become spacious and broader. Every detail in the sound and when the sound is also in the loudest form, you won’t feel the messy words instead explicit lyrics.

  • Klipsch The Sixes powered speaker especially always makes sure that the amp is compatible with the drivers. Here is the same. Before the amp makes the sound more defined, it goes through the woofer and turns into an excellent one.

The 6.5-inch is more significant enough for giving a more powerful sound. As you know, the term bigger woofer means more sound. This woofer size is bigger than the Klipsch R-51PM. So, here the Sixes hit a little hard for being best.

This woofer along with a Tractrix horn-loaded 1-inch titanium tweeter. More efficiency in the sound, smooth with the lowest distortion, everything is possible with them.

Winner: Klipsch The Sixes

Bass

Bass may not be necessary for some people, but the bass is the most significant thing for most people. A bass lover firstly notices the bass is good enough or not. Checkout this for bettersubwoofer

  • This thing also goes for me. I am a bass lover, and powerful, punchy bass is the only thing I love most. And when I came to compare Klipsch R-51PM VS The Sixes, I found R-51PM. Here is the winner.

A big thanks for the Dynamic Bass EQ setting this bookshelf speaker R-51PM have. This makes the bass as every bass wants to hear. A deep punch in the ear kind of richness is felt.

A big issue for the bookshelf speakers that the bass can not be deep enough. Extra woofers are needed for them. But the EQ preset solves this problem quickly. You can check out this for speakers with better bass Bose Bass module 500

And since there is a switch button, you can disable the EQ system and have the typical sound.

  • But the sixes can not provide deeper bass as expected. The bass is punchy and rich, full of excitement, but the deepest bass is not felt anywhere.

Winner: Klipsch R-51PM

Interegreted Amp or Pre-amp

As both the Klipsch R-51PM VS The Sixes are active speakers, they are both built-in amp and pre-amp. Yes, this saves much of your expenses of buying any kind of external a/v receiver, which I find most beneficial.

  •  As a good amplifier is a must-need thing for converting the lower signals into the highest one, this Klipsch R-51PM just has the same. When you play the very music after connecting it with your phone, you will gradually understand the difference between what you have been listening to till now.

It featured a D class amplifier which makes it highly efficient, smooth sound and breathtaking sound. Even if you turn the volume so high, it won’t need to consume extra power.

With the average power, you can listen to their loudest music. So, much incredible, doesn’t it?

Also, each of the amps needs a 60-watt power total of 120 watts. This is not that much for a bookshelf speaker. And when there is a phono pre-amp, everything comes into a balance.

In some short, sentences this speaker features a D-class amp, phono pre-amp, wireless Bluetooth connection, and everything you need.

  • After hearing the music with the Sixes, you will thank Klipsch for providing the built-in D-class amplifier. The sound fills the whole room with the acoustic sound, and every bass-like heart pumping is great.

Anything you connect with this speaker, the TV set, phone, or others has a sound solution. The amp will turn the frequencies into fine ones make the sound level the highest one.

The sound from the TV connecting after with Sixes becomes precise. Most of the integrated AMP can work as well enough as the external amp. But this amp fulfills all the needs.

It also eliminates the need for a pre-amp and DAC. Can you imagine how technically upgraded this speaker is? The engineers put a lot of effort into making this wonderful thing. Otherwise, where else can you find the pre-amp, amp, and DAC like a combined pack!

Winner: Klipsch R-51PM.

Klipsch R-51PM VS The Sixes: Input Interface

  • In the box of Klipsch R-51PM you will find a 3.5mm AUX, RCA input. The 3.5mm aux connects the turntable, subwoofer, and so on. There is a USB cable for connecting with the computer or TV. This supports up to 24-bit/96kHz format.

An optical fiber can also work if you want to connect with CD or with another device. The phone pre-amp can also be adjusted with the PHONO mode for you to connect the vinyl record player.

5 Best vinyl record player

  • Same the input interface for The Sixes as the Klipsch R-51PM. There is RCA input, output connection, 3.5mm stereo analog input. Through RCA, the turntable can be connected.

A USB cable to stay connected with the devices you want like a phone, computer, CD, etc. This can handle up to 192 kHz/24-bit formats.

  • The Sixes is another dazzling pair of powered speakers that is already famous for the high efficient works. The main target of any speaker is to provide the perfect sound. The Sixes did the exact thing and is ruling in the people’s heart.

From first to bottom analyzing with this speaker, I didn’t find any flaw in this speaker. The features, inputs, remote control, and sound system are beautifully balanced and thus create this splendid speaker.

Things To Look Before Buying A Speaker

For the audiophile, it is easy to understand the features and find the suitable one. But for the rest of the people, the task is a little complicated. So, here is a guideline for you to choose the right one easily.

Wired or Wireless: Two types of bookshelf speakers are available nowadays, wired or wireless. The wireless doesn’t need extra wire to connect. But the wired one is needed. This is the essential difference.

Comparing these two types, I would say the wired speaker can produce more pleasing sound than the wireless one. But this is not true for some.

The wired speakers get power directly and thus can work efficiently as required power. But this thing doesn’t happen for a wireless one. But now, there are so many updated technologies that make this logic fade.

Active or Passive: Active or passive is a vital feature to notice. The active speakers contain a built-in amplifier, but the passive doesn’t have. If you buy a passive speaker, then you have to buy an extra amplifier must. Klipsch have Klipsch Icon and Reference series has many types of Active and Passive speakers

Speaker size: The size is doesn’t matter for any speakers. This is one’s personal choice what he wants to have. The only fact is the more prominent speaker can produce extra volume.

Otherwise, the bookshelf speaker is now as good as the floor-standing speakers.

Sound Quality: This is not required to tell that you need to justify the sound quality. This is the most crucial part. Before buying, see the frequency response, sensitivity for the loudness, impedance, woofer size, tweeter. These things describe the sound quality.

Placement and Stands: Bookshelf speaker typically places on tables, bookshelf, or other places. But some may need an extra stand. So be careful with this.

Comparing with Alternative Klipsch Speakers

Klipsch Promedia 2.1

The Kilpsch Promedia 2.1 is an excellent speaker that hits the sweet spot with good highs and lows whilst still having a stylish style. The number of inputs on the ProMedia speaker system is small, so you can check out the Klipsch R-51PM and Klipsch The Sixes if you need more. Klipsch Promedia 2.1, on the other hand, is ideal for all types of entertainment, which is unusual in The Sixes or R-51PM. You can know more about beautiful Klipsch Promedia 2.1 here.

Klipsch RP 600m

The Klipsch RP-600M spekaers Reference Premiere Bookshelf Speaker is a legendary loudspeaker with a cult following among audiophiles. It sounds much stronger than The Sixes and R-51PM, but it costs almost twice as much. It may not be the most attractive or modern-looking device, but it has all of the essential audiophile features, such as a large soundstage and accurate imaging.

Klipsch The Fives

Klipsch’s Fives look plus sound great, and they have a lot more compatibility possibilities than the average pair of bookshelf speakers. Furthermore, if you want to get the most bang for your buck, Klipsch The Fives should be on your shopping list. Despite their high price, The Sixes are more new, unique, and have improved sound quality than The Fives. In terms of price and sound quality, I believe the R-51PM is more efficient.

Final Verdict

Klipsch R-51PM VS The Sixes, two incredible speakers, can beat any other high speaker in the marketplace. And by now you know all the difference between them and the extra feature they contain.

  • From a logical perspective, it’s impossible to pass judgement on two speakers. However, I strongly advise anyone to buy a Klipsch R-51PM. It’s cheap, has a balanced sound profile, and can produce more bass. The Sixes can also have natural, vibrant sound, as well as an appealing design and premium highs and mids, but the price and bass are, quite frankly, insufficient.

So, if you want to have a pair, then go for the one you liked most and met your need. Otherwise, you can have a look at the alternatives. You can also Buy powered Speaker that comes Under $100 if you’re under budget. Whatever you decide, Klipsch is going to give you the most fantastic audio experience.

FAQ

Can I set up these speakers beside my TV?

Yes, you can, but that won’t be good because speakers create some vibration or noise that won’t be good for the TV. So, the best thing is to place them on a separate table.

What should the sensitivity rate be for the speakers?

The rate should be over 90dB. Because only over 90dB can be so much loud. At this rate, you can not expect the loudest music. If you want to have the louder sound, make sure your speaker has at least a 90dB sensitivity rate.
